Move Better = Play Better
Knowing what your body can or cannot do is a crucial piece that is often missed in golf. If we know what your body can do, then we can build a swing that best matches your physical capabilities! These assessments are a small glimpse as to what you might be struggling with and how that influences your golf swing. You're going to assess and score yourself to see how many tests you pass compared to how many you struggle with. Once you are done with the assessments you can tell Lauren what your overall score was.Â
Neck Rotation Test
The assessment looks at how well you rotate your neck independent of your upper back. Perform on each side to see how you do.Â
Upper Back Rotation Test
The upper back is an area that is often overlooked when it comes to your swing. Grab a chair and see how you do!Â
Â
Hip Rotation Test(s)Â
While all of these tests are important, this one we have a tendency to emphasize a lot. Hip rotation, or the inability to rotate, has massive implications on your golf swing. You're going to perform these movements on both sides. There will be 4 scores in total for this assessment.Â
Shoulder Rotation Test
The ability to rotate your shoulder backward is helps to deliver the club on plane on the downswing. Much like the previous test, you're going to have a total of 4 scores for this assessment.Â
